Soft to the touch, it has a slightly velvety appearance and naturally develops fine lighter marbling called \"repousse\", characteristic of high-quality oiled leathers. This leather is made by the Haas tannery in Alsace from hides from its overstocks, as part of an approach to valorizing already produced materials. It is a leather that is dyed through and mineral-tanned.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe base of the bag is made from firmer leather to ensure it holds its shape over time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor models with a licorice-colored base, I use full-grain calfskin from the Roux tannery in France. This leather, dyed through, receives a light pigmentation that enhances its resistance to daily use while preserving the natural beauty of the material.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor models with a cognac or wine-red base, I have selected full-grain calfskin from the Virgilio tannery in Tuscany. This leather is vegetable-tanned using an environmentally friendly process. Its pure aniline finish reveals the full richness of the leather and encourages the development of a deep patina over the years. It is nourished using a traditional grease recipe used by the tannery to preserve its suppleness and character.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe closure system consists of an organic cotton drawstring made in France. Robust and comfortable to use, it can be easily removed to be washed or replaced if necessary.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLike all natural materials, leather evolves over time. Distribute it carefully on a soft cloth so that it is evenly impregnated: \u003cstrong\u003ethere should be practically no visible material left on the cloth\u003c\/strong\u003e.
