"Although Valérie Trouslard studied management and then geography before creating her brand Faméthic, it was because she could not find any leatherworking courses in the area. But she never gave up on her original idea and, at the age of 27, decided to teach herself the craft. To date, after moving from Belle-de-Mai to Rue Grignan via the Saint-Charles district, she has created 140 bag and small leather goods designs, not including custom-made pieces. Her specialty: working without machines, cutting and sewing by hand as in luxury leatherworking. In her boutique-workshop, you will find timeless bags, such as the gibecière – the centaurée – which is currently available in autumn-winter colors, and limited-edition pieces – capsule collections that she offers once or twice a year. She also showcases ready-to-wear creations by Sylvie Kameni – master couturier. And if you are hesitating between laptop sleeves, backpacks, coin purses, cardholders, belts made to size, you can also gift a four- or seven-hour course for the month of January. Please note that Faméthic donates 1% of its revenue to the NGO Survival International and that it was Valérie Trouslard who created the cover of the guestbook presented to Pope Francis during his visit to Marseille last September."
