Created in 2015, the Passiflore is an iconic Faméthic model, appreciated for its timeless character and ingenious modular carrying system.
The model
Created in 2015 following several customer requests, the Passiflore is one of the very first bags designed by Faméthic. Its traditional satchel-inspired aesthetic, two visible buckles, and handcrafted finishes give it a strong identity that stands the test of time without following fashion trends.
Its real asset lies in its ingenious carrying system. Thanks to its modular strap, it can be worn as a crossbody bag or around the waist, becoming depending on your needs an everyday bag, a travel companion, or a practical fanny pack to keep the essentials close at hand during your activities.
This pursuit of modularity, developed for the first time on the Passiflore, has become over the years a signature of several Faméthic creations.
In 2019, its closure system evolved to facilitate a smoother daily use, while preserving the aesthetics and function of the two buckles that contribute to the model's character. The briefcase-style closures, discreetly hidden under the buckles, allow you to open the bag quickly while preserving the security of its contents.

Material
This model is crafted from full-grain cowhide leather from the Italian artisan tannery Virgilio Conceria Artigliana, specializing in vegetable tanning.
Dyed through with natural pigments, this leather develops over the years a deep patina that gives it all its personality. Handling, light, and time gradually reveal its richness and make each bag unique.

Manufacturing
Each Faméthic bag is handmade in my workshop from carefully selected full-grain leathers.
Each step - from cutting to assembly, including sewing - is carried out with precision, one gesture after another to guarantee the quality, strength, and durability of each piece.

How made-to-order manufacturing works
This model is made especially for you after validation of your order.
Manufacturing begins in my workshop using the leather and color you have selected. This approach allows each piece to be made at the workshop's pace, without mass production, while offering a wide choice of leathers, colors, and certain customization options.
The average manufacturing time is approximately three weeks. It may vary slightly depending on the time of year, the availability of certain leathers, and the workshop's activity.

Care
The full-grain leather selected for this model is designed to develop a beautiful patina over the years. Handling, light, and signs of use naturally contribute to its evolution and make each bag unique.
This leather requires little maintenance. Occasional conditioning with a suitable balm is generally enough to preserve its suppleness and accompany its natural aging.
To discover the appropriate steps, consult our dedicated page: our leather care tips.

Leather care balm (30ml), natural crepe and organic cotton pouch offered with all our leather bags.
Usage tips
The Passiflore is designed to evolve with its owner. Do not hesitate to use the possibilities offered by its modular strap to adapt its carry to your activities and travels.
The two buckles also allow you to adjust the height of the flap. If you occasionally carry a bulkier content, remember to change this adjustment rather than forcing the leather or the metal accessories. Full-grain leather will naturally gain suppleness over time while retaining its shape.
The visible seams located on the sides of the bag deserve special attention. regular maintenance with beeswax allows to protect the thread durably and preserve the quality of the seams.
If you are looking for a small bag with a more minimalist style but just as timeless, the Mimosa is a beautiful alternative. For a compact format offering more volume in a more sober aesthetic, the Petite Centaurée can also meet your needs.
