The Petite Valériane captures the spirit of the Valériane in a more compact format, making it easy to carry every day. 

The model

Created in 2024, the Petite Valériane was born from the requests of several customers who wanted the Valériane's identity in a more compact format. Introduced during the launch of the Marseille H²0 capsule collection, it immediately found its audience and naturally became part of the permanent collection. 

While it retains the main design principles of the original model, its proportions have been completely reworked. Slimmer and slightly less flared than the Valériane, it has a silhouette that is closer to that of a handbag while retaining the crossbody spirit that characterizes the family. This balance makes it more stable against the body in this type of format and particularly pleasant to carry every day. 

Like the Valériane, it showcases full-grain leather with large, clean surfaces and a shoulder strap integrated directly into the body of the bag. This construction choice enhances its sturdiness while allowing the design of the model and the beauty of the material to shine. 

Its intermediate format easily accommodates everyday essentials, a bottle of water, a small umbrella, or a book. Spacious enough to accompany an active day, it nevertheless retains the look of a true handbag. Feedback from the first customers quickly confirmed that this new interpretation perfectly met their expectations, making the Petite Valériane a model in its own right.

Material

This model is crafted from full-grain cowhide leather from the Italian artisanal tannery Virgilio Conceria Artigliana, which specializes in vegetable tanning. 

Dyed through with natural pigments, this leather develops a deep patina over the years that gives it all its personality. Handling, light, and time gradually reveal its richness and make each bag unique.

Manufacturing

Each Faméthic bag is handmade in my workshop from carefully selected full-grain leathers.

Each step - from cutting to assembly, including sewing - is carried out with precision, one step at a time, to guarantee the quality, sturdiness, and durability of each piece.

How made-to-order manufacturing works

This model is made especially for you after your order is confirmed. 

Manufacturing begins in my workshop using the leather and color you have selected. This approach allows each piece to be made at the workshop's pace, without mass production, while offering a wide choice of leathers, colors, and certain customization options. 

The average manufacturing time is approximately three weeks. It may vary slightly depending on the time of year, the availability of certain leathers, and the workshop's workload.

Care

The full-grain leather selected for this model is designed to develop a beautiful patina over the years. Handling, light, and signs of use naturally contribute to its evolution and make each bag unique. 

This leather requires little maintenance. Occasional conditioning with a suitable balm is generally enough to preserve its suppleness and accompany its natural aging.

Usage tips

The Petite Valériane is for those looking for a practical handbag that offers more capacity than a classic model without becoming a large work bag. Its generous opening makes it easy to find your belongings, while its magnetic snap naturally closes when the bag is worn crossbody. The two leather sides then come closer together, effectively protecting its contents without complicating access to your personal items.

Worn shorter on the shoulder, the Petite Valériane naturally changes its look. Closer to a true handbag, it reveals a feminine and contemporary silhouette, while worn crossbody it evokes more the spirit of a modern crossbody bag with soft and clean lines. This double personality allows it to easily adapt to different everyday situations.
