Leather and care:
The Marseille H²O collection is made from full-grain calfskinsourced from surplus production at the Tannerie Roux located in the Drôme near Romans and now part of the LVMH group.
This pronounced-grain leather is supple and thick. It is dense, with a full, textured feel. Of exceptional quality, it develops an elegant, gradual patina.
Despite its very natural finish and light color, this calfskin is easy to care for.
To protect your leather, enhance its patina, and preserve the leather's durability, apply a coat of wax once a month for four months using the leather care balm provided by Faméthic. Use a soft cotton cloth, take a small amount of balm, fold the cloth in half, and rub the two sides together to spread the balm as evenly as possible on the cloth.
Then apply the cloth to the leather using gentle circular motions. You can pay particular attention to the edges of the leather to accelerate their patina.
To clean your leather, you can use a damp microfiber cloth and a little Marseille soap. Lather the soap on the cloth before applying it to the leather using gentle circular motions. Allow the leather to dry, then apply a coat of wax the next day.
Then rinse the microfiber cloth and wipe it over the leather to remove all traces of soap and any remaining dust.
In the case of a persistent stain, use a piece of crepe as an eraser to lift or lighten it. Remember that the more often you wax your leather with the leather care balm, the less stains will set into the leather.
If a liquid spills on your leather, absorb it as quickly as possible, then clean it as soon as possible. Finally, wax the leather the next day.

In our workshop, we have chosen to work exclusively with full-grain leather for all our designs. Unlike split leather, which is taken from the dermis, full-grain leather comes from the epidermis, the strongest part of the skin, reflecting the animal's life.
Thus, certain "imperfections" will be visible, such as wrinkles, moles, stretch marks, scars, scratches, punctures, etc. Most of the time, these marks are merely surface imperfections and do not affect the leather's strength. As leather itself is a byproduct of livestock farming, and out of consideration for the environment, we deliberately work with hides that bear some of these marks. Likewise, to minimize waste when cutting, we retain certain natural imperfections when they are purely aesthetic.
Color and patina:
The turquoise color may react to sunlight. Just like blue jeans, the blue color can fade. As a precaution, and until your waxing and the first few months of use have given the leather a sufficiently protective patina, avoid exposing your leather to the sun for extended periods.
This leather will develop a slow, gradual patina, which is the best way to achieve the finest patina. It will reflect you, your daily life, and your relationship with objects.
