Leather and care:
The Marseille H²O collection is made from full-grain cowhide sourced from surplus production at the Tannerie Roux located in the Drôme near Romans and now part of the LVMH group.
This pronounced-grain leather is supple and thick. It is dense, with a full, textured feel. Of exceptional quality, it develops an elegant, gradual patina.
Despite its very natural finish and light colour, this cowhide leather is easy to care for.
To protect your leather , enhance its patina and preserve the leather's durability, wax it once a month for 4 months using the leather care balm provided by Faméthic. Use a soft cotton cloth, take a small amount of balm, fold your cloth in half and rub the two sides together to spread the balm as evenly as possible on your cloth.
Then apply your oiled cloth to the leather in gentle circular motions. You can pay particular attention to the edges of the leather to help them patina more quickly.
To clean your leather , you can use a damp microfibre cloth and a little Marseille soap, which you will lather up on your cloth before applying it to your leather in gentle circular motions. Allow your leather to dry, then wax it the next day.
Then rinse your microfibre cloth and wipe it over the leather to remove all traces of soap and any remaining dust.
In the event of a persistent stain, use a piece of crepe as an eraser to lift or lighten the stain. Keep in mind that the more you wax your leather with the leather care balm, the less stains will set into the leather.
If a liquid spills on your leather, absorb the liquid as quickly as possible, then clean it as soon as possible. Finally, wax your leather the next day.

In our workshop, we have chosen to work exclusively with leather called "full-grain" for all our designs. Unlike split leather taken from the dermis, full-grain leather comes from the epidermis, the strongest part of the skin, reflecting the animal's life.
Thus, certain "imperfections" will be visible, such as wrinkles, moles, stretch marks, scars, scratches, punctures, etc. Most of the time, these marks are merely surface imperfections and do not affect the leather's strength. As leather itself is a waste product of farming, and out of consideration for the environment, we deliberately work with hides that have some of these marks. Likewise, to reduce waste when cutting, we retain certain natural imperfections when they are purely aesthetic.
Colour and patina:
The turquoise colour may react to sunlight. Indeed, like blue jeans, the blue colour can fade. As a precaution, and while waiting for your waxing and the first few months of use to develop a sufficiently protective patina, avoid exposing your leather to the sun for too long.
The patina on this leather will develop slowly and gradually, which is the best way to achieve the finest patina. It will reflect you, your everyday life and your relationship with objects.
