Statice Coin Purse | Marseille H²O Capsule Collection
1% donated to the NGO Survival International
The Statice is a square coin purse that opens like a box.
Featuring a pocket that can hold folded banknotes and a coin compartment that opens wide, this coin purse is very easy to use.
Its strong snap closure is highly effective and its belt loop is clever.
The highlight: with a single gesture, find all your coins and banknotes, even with clumsy fingers.
Limited edition
The Statice coin purse from the Marseille H²O collection is made in only three pieces. Each piece is numbered with a unique reference that indicates the date of manufacture. The unique piece number is hot-stamped onto the leather piece.
When making your purchase, select the unique piece number you desire. You will be the only person to own this creation.
Leather and care:
The Marseille H²O collection is made from full-grain cowhide from the production surplus of the Tannerie Rouxlocated in the Drôme near Romans, and now part of the LVMH group.
This pronounced-grain leather is supple and thick. It is dense, with a full and textured feel. Of exceptional quality, it develops an elegant, gradual patina.
Despite its very natural finish and light color, this cowhide leather is easy to care for.
To protect your leather, enhance its patina and preserve the leather's strength, wax it once a month for 4 months using the leather care balm provided by Faméthic. Use a soft cotton cloth, take a small amount of balm, fold your cloth in half and rub the two parts together to spread the balm as evenly as possible on your cloth.
Then apply your oiled cloth to the leather in gentle circular motions. You can pay special attention to the edges of the leather to accelerate their patina.
To clean your leather, you can use a damp microfiber cloth and a little Marseille soap, which you will lather on your cloth before applying it to your leather in gentle circular motions. Let your leather dry, and wax it the next day.
Then, rinse your microfiber, then pass it over the leather to remove all traces of soap and the last bits of dust.
In the case of a persistent stain, use a piece of crepe as an eraser to lift or lighten the stain. Keep in mind that the more you wax your leather with the leather care balm, the less stains will penetrate the leather.
In the case of a liquid spill attacking your leather, absorb the liquid as quickly as possible, then clean it as soon as possible. Finally, wax your leather the next day.

In our workshop, we have chosen to work exclusively with leather called "full grain" for all our designs. Unlike leather split taken from the dermis, full-grain leather comes from the epidermis, the strongest part of the skin, reflecting the animal's life.
Thus, certain "flaws" will be visible, such as wrinkles, moles, stretch marks, scars, scratches, punctures, etc. Most of the time, these marks are only surface aesthetic flaws and do not alter the leather's strength in any way. Since leather itself is a waste product of the livestock industry, and for ecological reasons, we deliberately work with hides that have some of these marks. Likewise, to limit waste during cutting, we keep certain natural flaws when they are purely aesthetic.
Color and patina:
The turquoise color is a color that can react to the sun. Indeed, like blue jeans, the blue color can fade. As a precaution, and while waiting for your waxing and the first months of use of the leather to develop a sufficiently protective patina, avoid exposing your leather to the sun for too long.
The patina of this leather will be long and gradual, which is the best way to obtain the most beautiful patina. It will be in your image, reflecting your daily life and your relationship with objects.
