Leather and care:
The Marseille H²O collection is made from full-grain cowhide sourced from surplus production at the Tannerie Roux located in the Drôme near Romans and now part of the LVMH group.
This pronounced-grain leather is supple and thick. It is dense, with a full and textured feel. Of exceptional quality, it develops an elegant, gradual patina.
Despite its very natural finish and light color, this cowhide leather is easy to care for.
To protect your leather, enhance its patina, and preserve the leather's durability, apply a wax polish once a month for 4 months using the leather care balm provided by Faméthic. Use a soft cotton cloth, take a small amount of balm, fold the cloth in half, and rub the two sides together to spread the balm as evenly as possible on the cloth.
Then apply the oiled cloth to the leather using gentle, circular motions. You can pay special attention to the edges of the leather to accelerate their patina.
To clean your leather, you can use a damp microfiber cloth and a little Marseille soap, which you will lather on the cloth before applying it to the leather using gentle, circular motions. Allow the leather to dry, and apply a wax polish the next day.
Then rinse the microfiber cloth, then wipe it over the leather to remove all traces of soap and any remaining dust.
In the case of a persistent stain, use a piece of crepe as an eraser to lift or lighten the stain. Keep in mind that the more you wax your leather with the leather care balm, the less stains will set into the leather.
If a liquid spills on your leather, absorb the liquid as quickly as possible, then clean it as soon as possible. Finally, wax the leather the next day.

In our workshop, we have chosen to work exclusively with full-grain leather for all our designs. Unlike split leather taken from the dermis, full-grain leather comes from the epidermis, the strongest part of the skin, reflecting the animal's life.
Thus, certain "flaws" will be visible, such as wrinkles, moles, stretch marks, scars, scratches, punctures, etc. Most of the time, these marks are merely surface blemishes and do not affect the leather's strength. As leather itself is a byproduct of livestock farming, and out of consideration for the environment, we deliberately work with hides that have some of these marks. Likewise, to minimize waste during cutting, we retain certain natural flaws when they are purely aesthetic.
Color and patina:
The turquoise color may react to sunlight. Indeed, like blue jeans, the blue color can fade. As a precaution, and until your wax polishes and the first few months of use have given the leather a sufficiently protective patina, avoid exposing your leather to the sun for too long.
This leather will develop a long, gradual patina, which is the best way to achieve the finest patina. It will reflect you, your daily life, and your relationship with objects.
